Miners Headed West for the Trinity Booster Meet.

The Miners headed west to Dickinson on Friday May 2nd. The Miners had a good day but a long day in Dickinson as they had 17 teams total from both North Dakota and Montana. The Girls team placed 5th out of 17 teams while the boys placed 13th out of 17. The Miners had 43 PRs on the day and did pick up a new qualifier on the day on the Girls side.
The Miners Girls had 1 event champ on the day in Addison Schepp in the 300m Hurdles. They had one 2nd place finish on the day in Malayah Williams in Shot put. They also got a 3rd place finish and State Qualifying run in the 1600m in RyLee Yantzer. The Girls got help from both hurdle events with Emma Dschaak (100m), Elva Jasso (300m), and Braelyn Hottman (300m) all placing on the day. The Girls also got improvement in their relays as the 4x100 gets closer to the qualifying mark and the 4x200 miss qualifying by a second. The girls had a total 30 PR's on the day. The Girls had a great day and will look to improve in meets this next week.
The Miner Boys had only 3 placers on the day as they battle getting kids and team back to full strength. The Boys got a 2nd place finish in the 300m Hurdles from Austin Mittelsteadt. They had the 2 short relays place and run their best times of the year with the 4x100 missing qualifying by a half second and the the 4x200 missing by 2 seconds. The boys had 13 Pr's on the day. The boys need to come ready next week as they have work to get done in this next week of meets.

A few Miner Throwers will be attending the 701 Throw Fest in Bismarck on Saturday May 3rd.
The Miners are back in action next week with 3 different meets. It all starts on Tuesday May 6th in Killdeer.
