Miners Have Success Despite Hot and Windy Day.



The Miners headed to Minot for the Glenburn Lion's Invite Saturday May 10th. The Miner Girls took 2nd out of 19 teams while the Boys take 8th overall. The Miners had only 13 PR's on the day but had alot of athletes close to previous PR's on the day. The Miners did not pick up any new state qualifiers on the day.


The Miner Girls had 3 event Champions on the day with Addison Schepp in the 100m Hurdles, Malayah Williams in Shot Put, and Hannah McGraw in Pole Vault. They had 1 2nd place finish on the day with Addison Schepp in the 300m Hurdles. They had 4 3rd place on the day with Bailey Buchfinck in discus, 4x100, 4x200, and 4x400 relay. The girls had placers in 11 events on the day. The Girls will have a few kids back in action for a last chance meet before Regionals next Friday.


The Boys did not have an event Champ but did have 3 second place finishes on the day and 2 4th place finishes on the day. The got places in the 300m hurdles in Cooper Schepp (2nd) and Austin Mittelsteadt (4th). They got a 4th Place Finish out of Austin in the 110 hurdles. The Boys had their 4x100 and 4x200 relay place second on the day with the boys missing qualifying the 4x100 by .3 seconds. They boys only had 8 athletes at the meet on the day. The Boys will have one more chance to get work done before Regionals next Friday.



The Miners will have a few Athletes going on Tuesday May 13th to a Last Chance Meet in Dickinson. Then the Miners will have their Regional Meet on Friday May 16th in Dickinson.
