The Miners headed to That School Out East (Hazen) on Friday May 9th for a small 6 team meet. The Miners did not have everyone loaded for events with goals set on getting work done. The Miners did get some of the work done by picking up two new events qualified. The Miners had a total of 31 PR's on the day.
The Girls on the day had 4 Event champs with Elva Jasso (300 Hurdles), Vienna Tolosky (1600m), Hannah McGraw (Pole Vault), and Addison Schepp (Long Jump). The Girls also had 4 Second Place finishes on the day with Brooklyn Byrum (High Jump), Emaley Keller (Javelin), Braelyn Hottman (100 Hurdles) and the 4x100 relay. The excitement came when the Girls 4x100 Qualified for State. Members of the team are Hannah McGraw, Braelyn Hottman, Addison Schepp, and Maci Schnaidt. The Girls look to improve marks in all events tomorrow.
The Boys had 2 Event champs in the 4x200 Relay and Cooper Schepp in the 110m Hurdles. Cooper ran a time of 16.14 which qualified him for the State Meet and also set the School Record in that event. The boys now have 3 Boys qualified for the State Meet matching last years total. The Boys also had 4 second place finishes in Anthony Hallett (Shot Put and Discus), Sebastian Nichols (800m) and the 4x100.
